10 Favorite Fall Soup Recipes

Good morning friends! Its Friday Eve!! That’s totally a thing right?! Now that the weather is cooling off I’m getting in the mood for soup. I love soup. I also love just about any kind of soup. I used to hate potato soup and ham and beans soup but the older I get the less picky I’ve become. Now, I don’t know a soup I don’t love.

There’s nothing I love more than eating a delicious bowl of homemade soup on a chilly day. I love making a big pot of soup for the week and whatever is left over I’ll freeze it for another day. I did this a lot last year since I eat lunch at home and it worked out perfectly. While I have a ton of new soup recipes I can’t wait to try this year, here are some oldie but delicious recipes I’ve tried over the year!

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup – Love Grows Wild

Perfect Potato Soup – Pioneer Woman

Friday Favorites #2

Good Morning friends! Its Friday and I couldn’t be more excited. We got to sleep in about an hour and mama got to drink her coffee while it was still hot! Its going to be a great day!

Were headed to the pumpkin patch today. Miss O knows were headed to a “surprise” but doesn’t quite know where yet. They are going to have so much fun. We are still trying to decide which place to take them to. So many great pumpkin patches in the KC area that all have such great reviews. Follow me on instagram to see where we end up!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We will be enjoying ours. Now, I’m going to leave you with my Friday favorites.

Favorite Halloween Treat Bag: Halloween Play-Doh Monster Kits. I’m in charge of treat bags for O’s Halloween party and I thought what more fun than bringing something like this. Pinterest is full of ideas and I really want to bring something besides candy since they will be getting so many treats that day. What kid doesn’t love play-doh!

Favorite Cookie Recipe: Oatmeal Cream Pies. My kids and hubs love these! I remember getting them as a treat when I was a little girl. It was so fun. Now when they all go grocery shopping they beg for them. Sometimes we get them, sometimes we don’t. Then I found this recipe and now I can’t wait to make then. Miss O will be so excited to help me!

Favorite DIY: Disstressed Dollar Store Pumpkins. How cute are these! I love a good DIY and I mostly love a good DIY from the Dollar Tree. I can’t wait to try this out. I’m loving the look of white pumpkins this year. This would be the perfect touch to our fall decorations.

Favorite Outfit: I love a good basic outfit like this. Nothing fancy about it but still looks put together. I love a great plain basic tee. Grays and blacks are my favorite. Plus this skinnies are amazing. I’m thinking now I need to go search for some just like this.

Casual Fall Look

Hello Wednesday! Anyone else excited the week is half over?! I’m mostly excited because we have no school on Friday (hooray for sleeping in) and we are headed to do all the fall things this weekend. Pumpkin patch and apple picking here we come!  I’m pretty excited. I love doing all these fun things with my kiddos. We went to Westons Big Red Barn last year and the girls had a blast. We’re thinking about going there again this year or trying a new place. Either way we are bond to have a great time.

Speaking of doing all the fall things, can we talk about this fun and easy fall outfit I’ve been wearing lately.

My style is very casual and relaxed and although I do love to dress up from time to time you’ll see me in jeans and a tee most of the time. I’ve always been a jeans and tee kind of girl. And throw in a flannel shirt and I’m hooked.

Flannel was pretty much every where when the hubs and I went shopping not to long ago. I ended up buying this flannel from target, then I remembered I had a blue one just like it in my closet I got last year. Don’t worry they will both get plenty of wear this fall and winter.

This is my first time ever blogging my outfit and style. It was fun once I got my camera all set up. Hope you enjoy this look and I can’t wait to show you more of my style.

Now tell me, what’s your style?

Fall Boots

The short bootie trend is on fire this year. Last year, I really didn’t get into the trend. I tend to have wide feet so finding cute and comfortable boots for me can be a challenge. Last year I found one black pair that I love but this year I knew right away I wanted to find another pair. And I’m in love with the taupe colored booties.

My style tends to be very casual. On a day to day basis you’ll see me rocking these tennis shoes or these converse with my favorite leggings and basic tee. Working for my parents part time means I don’t really dress up that often. This year one of my goals was to actually look put together and dress in something other than my leggings. I knew right away finding the perfect cute booties I could wear all fall and winter long would be the key to keeping this goal.

All my favorite pairs I have my eye on come in wide width which is key for me. I can not wait to order a pair couple pairs of these booties. You can never have to many, am I right! 🙂

I did find all these booties on DWS. They have the best variety for wide width but even if you don’t need wide width they have some amazing shoes. Now, I just need to decide on which ones I need. I mean how many booties is to many?! 😉

How many booties to you own?

Friday Favorites

Guys, I can’t believe its finally Fall. This week has given me all the fall feels and I absolutely love it. We have tons of plans for the weekend but I’m really hoping to get all my fall decor out and finally get some pumpkins on our front porch. I really love decorating for holiday/seasons. Christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate but there’s something about decorating fall that gives me all the feels and just puts me in the best mood!

My Friday favorites are something I did on my old blog and its such a fun post for me. I find all my favorite things I’ve come across on the internet (mostly pinterest) and share my amazing finds. It might be obvious but this Friday favorites is going to be all things fall. 🙂

Favorite outfit: How stinking cute is this! I love any outfit with strips, vest or flannel in the fall and this one has 2 out of the 3 so its a home run in my book. Plus, the added cheetah print is amazing. This is one outfit I will be recreating for my fall look.

Favorite DIY: Pumpkin Vase. This is so cute. I’m really thinking I need to make something like this to go on my table. Its the type of decor I love because its totally fall, Halloween and Thanksgiving all in one. It really looks pretty simple to put together too.

Favorite Recipe: Cinnamon Sugar Soft Pretzels. These delicious looking pretzels are screaming my name. I’ve recently taken up the interest in trying to bake bread and bread type things. These pretzels are totally going on my list. I can not wait to try them. Its one thing I know my whole family will enjoy.

Favorite Candle: Pumpkin Roll from Candelles. I just found this company on Instagram. In fact, I really don’t remember how I came across them, but I remember thinking “my goodness I need to order that candle,” and well now I want to order them all. I love little business like this. And while I love supporting Missouri busniess more than anything, these folks are from Pennsylvania. Their story of how the hobby of making candles turned into a business is a great one.

These are my Friday favorites this week. I love sharing all my favorite finds throughout the week. Let me know what your favorite finds were this week! And let me know what y’all have planned for the weekend down in the comments? We are celebrating my hubs birthday Saturday!
